REACH ARC APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN
Ne+wsletter readers, you get access to the ARC application form first. If you aren’t sure what an ARC is, it’s a way for authors to hype up their book. In exchange for an honest review, an author sends a free Advanced Reader Copy to ARC readers. The ARC readers, read the book, then write a meaningful review on Amazon, Goodreads, and social media and post on launch day.
There’s a caveat though, yes, absolutely write an honest review. BUT if your review isn’t the greatest, that’s fine. In order to help the book have it’s day in the sun, I ask tha
;t any ARC reviewers who do not feel positively about my book (rate it 3 stars or |’/ess) do not share that review until after release day. And if you share a 3 star or less review to social media after pub day, don’t tag me. (It’s just polite.)
It’s a whole thing about making the different algorithms see your content. More traffic to your product = more sales.
If you’d like to ARC read REACH, I would be so thrilled. And one last thing, if you know me in real life, please do not mention that in your review. Amazon does NOT like it when a review isn’t reliable, and to them saying ‘my friend wrote this amazing book’, or ‘my sister’, or ‘my wife’, or ‘my…whatever relationship you might have with someone’, can cause Amazon to shut down the author’s account. Meaning 0 book sales...

What I’m Writing Now
REACH BOOK 2
Yes, I know REACH isn’t out yet. But that hasn’t stopped me from drafting book 2!
Here are some things to know about REACH book 2.
There is more romance, but it’s all non-explicit- just like always with my books.
There is a morally grey character (we don’t see many morally grey characters in book 1)
Book 2 could possibly considered a Cowboy Space Opera.
ROMANCE
Michigan (the state, not the University) Romance Book 1 of 4. This book is at about 14,000 words written and has lots of fun things for readers to look forward to.
Summer camp counselors
Upper Peninsula, Lake Superior, and shipwrecks
Cougar (the actual animal)
Meddling preteen campers
Twiglight references
What I read this month
If you haven’t read Mary’s Mecham’s books yet, they are so good. Think fairytale retellings with high stakes, swoony moments, and villains you can’t hate. (And some villains you can.) And as always, NO EXPLICIT scenes!
This book had everything I wanted. Pirates, a dastardly ruler, impersonating a royal, a solidly good main male character…Peter Pan, and bridges. Which was ironic because in the past month I have been on two vacations which featured bridges.
New River Gorge, WV If only Korth had been here- he would have been fascinated!
While you’re at it, don’t forget to check out Mary’s other books and her hilarious instagram account.
FREE WRITING RESOURCE
THIS IS NEW! Once a month I’m going to send my newsletter subscribers something awesome and FREE that can help make you a stronger writer and things I’ve learned along the way.
So, here it is! This list isn’t broken down in any particular order, and remember it isn’t meant to replace a professional editor. It is meant to help you with your self edits!
Go ahead and save the image as a pdf and print, screenshot, set as your background … whatever works for you! Personally, I like a hard copy that’s laminated so I can mark off each word with a dry erase marker once I’ve checked my draft for instances of that specific word!
Enjoy, and if you find a duplicate word on the list please let me know. My eyes were foggy after staring at it for so long!
Thank you for being here, and supporting me on this journey.
